Overclocking AMD Phenom II X4 945

    Hello,
I know that this is a black edition cpu , but i want to overclock it. I do not know much about this but I think i have to use the FSB, i guess I am correct here? Currently the CPU is running on OCCT, and the stock is 58 cel. The question is what is the suitable temperature for this. The cooler I am using is AMD CPU. Any more help regarding the overclocking of this processor is appreciated. Thank you for your help.

    Hello,
This is the CPU water cooling already on 4220 MHz overclock, but chose to reasons of time claimed by a high CPU voltage of 1.65 volts and are no. 1.375 volts. At the North Bridge-GHz clock is already the 3 fallen, the HT link can MHz to 2,500. In wPrime v2.00 were 3908 MHz clocked 9.889 seconds in the 32M test achieved. With the same high clock rates ran Super Pi 32M in 18 minutes and 22.616 seconds through. I think you do not need to overclock this processor.

    Hello,
Before overclocking your processor, cooling capacity is required. So, you much watch your cooling capacity of the computer then overclock it. Who says the increase comes increased FSP temperature. If you do not have a good cooling capacity for your computer then please do not overclock it. By cons I found not much compatible with the socket unless you can put Socket AM2 but awaits confirmation from an expert because I'm not sure it is compatible with your processor.

    Hello,
The Phenom X4 945 II is based on the 45-nanometer process produced "Deneb" design. The four cores running at 3.0 gigahertz, the L2 cache 512 holds KiByte per core, the L3 cache MiByte 6. Technically similar to the Phenom II X4 945 model X4 940 BE, the biggest difference is the base: He is 945 the socket AM3, including DDR3 RAM intended for, but also works with socket AM2 + and DDR2, the older 940 BE on the other hand will only fit in the Socket AM2 +. Other differences: the HyperTransport clock is at 945 2000 instead of 1800 MHz, in practice, brings the performance advantages, however, hardly. There is the 940 a "Black Edition" model with free multiplier, that luxury. So no need to overclock it.

    Hello,
I am not a pro, but I would recommend you the FSB (system clock) 200 to 233 MHz increase of. In a multi of 15 (at 945) then gives the 3500 instead of 3000 MHz. But there's much more considered. The following should be set manually in the BIOS:

CPU VCore 1.40 volt increase (default: 1.35 V)
Blue Screen raise Falls to 1.425 V or more (but should at least 1.45 V) range, max. but never more than 1.5 V with air cooling. In addition, more is not necessary and also not released by AMD (max. 1.50 V also from AMD),
    HT-Link to 9x (or 1.8 Ghz) set, then gives 233x9 = 2097MHz
HT Link Volt to 1.3-V Setting

    Hello,
In the past, we did overclocking tests Phenom II and increasingly relies on AMD box cooler. Thus, the results were still well below the 4 GHz mark, the flagship CPUs such as the target of so many enthusiasts is on. Thermalright kindly provided us now for Socket AM3 was the mounting set of Ultra 120 Extreme is available that in some of the tests.

Settings to be changed in BIOS
CPU North Bridge at 10x (or 2GHz) set, then gives 233x10 = 2330MHz (with good
    air cooling), alternatively 9x (or 1, 8GHz), is then 233x9 = 2097MHz
CPU North Bridge (incidentally, the L3 cache + memory meant) V to 1.3 V,
alternatively 1.225 V (standard way, is 1.175 V at me)
Note: The Lift-the CPU Northbridge volts increases memory bandwidth, heat and
disables Cool & Quiet, that is, if C & Q need, you then this volt setting on
left and standard CPU North Bridge at 8x (or 1.6 GHz) set according to, then
    233x8 = 1864MHz
RAM divider note. This means that you have currently set DDR2 800 (eg) = 200x2 =
    400 MHz = DDR2 800, the ratio changed to 233x2 = 466 MHz = DDR2 932nd So you
    could set: 200x5 / 3 = 333 MHz = DDR2 667 is by overclocking: 233x5 / 3 = 388
MHz = DDR2 776th Or one takes the DDR2 932 and increases the voltage from the
    RAM something.
