    Overclocking Phenom X3 II 720

I have definitely a lot of points with this Processor.

When I run cpuz, the core speed and multiplier never stop moving. The core speed oscillates between 1600MHz and 2800MHz. The multiplier can range from 4 to 26.

That seems strange. So I close, I run cpuz and occt that says cpu frequency of 800 MHz, 1600 or 2800 ...

    Why it is like that?

When I use the processor bottom, it stabilizes at 2870. Apparently there is a power saving mode or something like that.

For the change of mutliplier, it must be an option on your motherboard to disable. Your as what?

Otherwise, by default, you must be 14 x 200 and therefore at 2800 MHz. I managed to mount it stable at 16.5 x 200 without touching the vCore,
for the 4th core, from what I read, it is just a series produced in December if I followed

This is the Cool 'n' Quiet, if you want to transfer the disabled in the bios. If you want overclock must disable preference.

I got a 16x200 vCore to stock, and I am at 18x200 at 1.52v (motherboard not too made for the occasion, or to a voltage high enough)

    I overclock and that moves.

@ revolucioncg: yeah, I can not activate the 4th one. (UD4-790X)

Otherwise I am very limited in spite of temperatures that increase soon. (if I have occt I can probably go up to 16 x 200 but when I bench with 3d mark => reboot. So I can only 14.5 x 200 )

I was with a full 46 degrees without touching the voltage. Now I have a cooler master hyper 212 (huge) and I'm a 20° idle and 35° for a full 1.52v. I read your concerns temperatures normally it should be like me before (other person were the same)

And 15 x 200 otherwise it goes by? Otherwise I have not tested my 4th core
