    Coolbits does not work

I wanted to overclock my geforce video card and so went through some tutorials explaining how to overclock with coolbits. I went through a guide which explained how in windows registry you can turn on Coolbits overclocking switch by which the core clock frequency and memory clock frequency can be adjusted for the video card. My video card is Palit Geforce2 MX 32M, with latest Detonator3 12.41 drivers from Nvidia.. I did all as was given in the tutorial but I dont get the extra properties feature when I boot up. What is wrong with it? Have I done something wrong?

You said you have latest Detonator3 12.41 drivers from Nvidia for your geforce graphic card. Did you upgrade it afterwards? Have you tried with coolbit before upgrading the drivers. If it worked before the driver update, it may have something to do with the new drivers. Uninstall them & go back to your previous driver, then see if you can O/C to the same settings again.

Coolbits was replaced by something newer with another name. Look it up in Google, determine the new name, and get a current version.

    Re: Coolbits does not work

I have found coolbits settings are arbitrary guesses, that I can take the same card, flash a different bios and get substantially higher stable o'c, that using coolbits again to test with the new bios, Coolbits sets it far higher. The difference of the new bios was only that I'd edited it (the same original bios) to reflect higher default clock speed. So apparently, coolbits does not actually consider the highest stable speed at all, it makes some kind of guess based on what the default speed was.

Are you using a driver that supports it? Keep in mind that current breezy does not have the latest driver. Also, it doesn't seem to work on dual monitors, but you can use nvclock.
