    Volt Mod apply for e8500

    Hello all,

    My configuration:
    Antec 900 case
    C2D E8500 3.16
    Asus p5q pro
    Corsair (2x2GB) TwinX XMS2 DHX, DDR2 PC2-6400 (800 mhz) CL4 4-4-4-12 (now at 5-5-5-15 and 2.1 volts)
    RAM: FSB 1:1
    Sansung spin point F1 1TB
    Cooler Master real power m620
XFX xxx gtx260 (192 thinker small version)

I do not have a volt mod and the voltage on in the bios configuration. after Orthos blend test max temp: 37 degrees. This course calls for more mhz and.
can I leave it on auto while the test is whether this is implications for performance?

If there are tips or suggestions please share with me.

You mean you want to give little extra the CPU voltage. The term voltmod is only used when the voltage increases with hardware, so really with wires and soldering work. But that is not really your question.

The voltage through the BIOS do you actually increase only when the CPU is unstable. If you keep overclocking, a point not Orthos stable. Then you something extra voltage things get stable again.

It is advisable to manually voltage programs to instead everything automatically leave. The best is from the beginning itself the voltage control programs.

Yes, Can I be the best at 1.25 v (stock) start, and then slowly increase if he does not withdraw, or is there a better voltage that you can recommend me? I do not know how far I want to step up the beast in GHz.

Yes, the rule is to minimize voltage stable with the highest possible frequency. I do not know how the E8500 is, but the Q9550 you can stock the FSB well. I would also start 1.25V.

Remember to use your RAM and NB to complete, And you PCI and PCIe frequency too. or else sit behind.

Just start at the default voltage is the best. Then when the CPU is slightly more unstable voltage at turn. So for example, from 1.25 to 1.26. No one can recommend a voltage because each CPU is different and a voltage needed to properly run. One can 4GHz sometimes more or less voltage than you need. You will yourself to find what voltage your CPU needs
