What are you useing to cool the chip for starters?

A slight bump to the chipset may help but you should require that kind of voltage to the CPU I should think.

It may simply be thats all the chip is gonna give you no matter what you through at it.

If you're trying to OC why on earth do you have C1E enabled? Thats gonna get things awful confusing. You can enable that later if you want but its gonna make life miserable at this point.

    A few points

Your cpu may top out at 3.4

your temps may be high, have you ran prime 95 small ff'ts and watched the temps imho 65c is a safe max

Have you ran memtest, as it runs before windows loads it gives a very good indication of memory stability

Is you pcie bus locked at 100? or on auto

You should read the sticky it may enlighten you, or help you to remember a few thing that may have passed you by

With C1E and Step speed technology, it allows for the cpu to go to X6 Multiplier at idle or low speed tasks and kicks up into high speed mode X8 when the application needs it. It's to keep my temps way down under low load, it's just nice to have and it doesn't get confusing u just have to put it under load to show it's full X8 Multiplier speed.

BTW - Does anyone think this is one hell of an overclock for this processor? It's a 70% Overclock. I mean have people managed way more with these cpus? What's the highest Percentage of overclock of any Core 2 duo/ quads?
