    Overclock 6600?

    hi,
i have Athlon64 3000 + 2GHz,1.5G ram ,Motherboard Asus K8NE-deluxe,Geforce 6600GT 128MB AGP8x,WindowsXP Pro SP2. I read somewhere that the fan of the original 6600 performance was not enough and a good style Zalman fan and it was better company. Is there was a real difference? (say that on most of the time games like NFS mostwanted I met all the detail and resolution in depth, it lag slightly at times but it is still very playable, does that make it more fluid?) . Is it worth that I break the head and that I take the risk to break my stuff, I really see a difference if my CG overclock or my CPU?

I'm looking forward to your comment. Thank you.

    hi,
starts overclocking cg with the software that you provided with the card. do not be greedy, and rises gradually the vpu core and memory. Then do tests with a game or 3dmark05 to see if your cg holds out and especially if you see a difference ...

NFS most wanted, try to reduce the AF + AA filters, the lags are less present (especially if it runs at 60 fps and you're doing falls to 15 fps ...).

And the processor is not overclocked?

Before wanting to overclock your graphic card, already verified in the driver that everything is set to performance. If as a result, the result does not always suits you, then you can consider for the overclocker. For this use of those apps like RivaTuner or COOLBITS.

I am unable to say how much until I got to the clock frequency of the GPU and memory, because since I change the card and switched to larger (XT 7800GS from XFX AGP8x). But for the record I used the Nvidia driver for mounted and with a Zalman VF-700Cu I had no problem, but with a little overclocking issue of CPU and RAM I have never really been able to test properly and truly comprehensive. And it seems to me that I was not very high up like the GPU to 525/550. I installed the latest driver for Nvidia 7800GS (then it was a 83.xx remember, now it is 84) and I have the GPU and RAM settings.Along with RivaTuner Now I have the option of overclocking, bizarre.

To have the option of overclocking into the ForceWare drivers must install COOLBIT 2.
