just reading your question i feel you are very excite regarding to your pc .
it seem like you have no any idea about overclocking .well what ever you do have some knowledge first then try other wise you will bang you new pc.
well 3DMARK is not harmful for your computer it is computer tool use to determine the performance of a computer's graphic rendering capability.
sometimes its fun to see score in it .
