can i overclock AMD Athlon 2400+

I want to overclock this with ease so that i dont destroy it.
My Specifications-
Motherboard Asus A7V8X
1 gb of RAM
Processor 2ghz AMD Athlon 2400+
350 watt power supply

This is running at a FSB of 305. I am completely new to overclocking & dont know much about it so any help or tip would be of utmost help for me. Thanks

That mobo is not good for overclocking. You are limited on that board cause it dosent have the capability to lock the PCI or AGP but at their default speeds. What ram do you have If you have DDR400 ram then it is good but with a DDR333 ram you wont be able to overclock.

Maintaining the FSB ratio with DRAM with 1:1 is the key to best performance with a cocket A system. So if you have CPU frequency of 166Mhz ie; 333Mhz
then the ram frequency would be also eual with the sam MHz. The Ram should also set itself at 175MHz if you increase the CPU frequency to 175 MHz and it will go on equally.

Thanks for the comments. Also is it safe to adjust the CPU multiplier after setting CPU frequency and PCI Bus? If it is possible then what is the safest limit that i can go for? What all things i need to adjust? Thanks again

You cannot change the multiplier cause it is mostly locked. Are you sure that your CPU is running at 305MHz FSB cause i think there are not any 2400 + that runs at that MHz & there are three different versions all of them running at 15 x 133MHz as what i know.
