Safe amount to Overclock

That is what I was thinking about. What is the safe percentage?
I think overclocking upto 4-5% is ok. Or is more than that overclock a safe one. Like upto 10%.

That all depends on what kind of CPU you have and what is the rig for that.

Yes it actually depends on the kind of CPU and the maximum temperature it can handle. Provide with your rig and we can tell you the safe amount for that.

You can overclock your CPU upto the limit it doesn't get overheated. And it all depends what the supporting hardware is. As you said, 4-5% is normal overclocking for most of the CPUs. But one can try more till the system is not getting overloaded.
