    Stop: 0x00000050 Msg problem

I'm trying to go from Vista Ultimate back to XP Home. Everytime I insert my XP disk and boot from it everything goes great till I get to the partition list. It tells me there are no disks in the space for all four of the Partition listings. When I hit Enter to install windows it gives me the error msg

    *Stop:0x00000050 (which google says is a Page_Fault_In_Nonpaged_Area.)
    ** setupdd.sys - Adress F77BA9A8 base at F7793000, Datestamp 41107C8F

anyone have any ideas? It seems like I can't see the HDD when I boot from CD, but if I take the CD out it will boot into Vista just fine.

    Hi!

I seem to have same problem as you had. When I try to install Windows XP I can't find any disks or partitions, and when I hit enter the same message appear.

How did you solve this malfunction?

    Thank you

Most likely you are dealing with a newer system that requires drivers for the operating system to see your HDD. Go to the retail site of your computer and look up drivers for your HDD. you will need them to install the OS. Its pretty simple. when you are installing the new OS choose additional drivers. and load the HDD drivers from there. this should fix your loading new OS issue.

To resolve this problem, start your computer in Safe mode, remove the display adapter, rename the .inf files that are associated with the display adapter drivers, restart your computer in Normal mode, and then update your display adapter drivers.

This error almost always the result of a hardware problem, but can also result from the following:

    • A hardware component does not work or is defective.
    • A poorly configured hardware, or poorly adapted.
    • incompatible equipment.
    • A device driver in the abnormal behavior).
    • A virus has infected the MBR.
    • Hard disk damaged

To try to solve this pbl, starting with 1. Stop your
computer, then remove all the PCI (Peripheral Component Interconnect).
    2. Restart your computer.
    • If Windows starts successfully, stop your computer, then reinstall the PCI devices one at a time. Start Windows after the installation of each device. When you install a device that causes the problem removes the device, then continue to install the other PCI devices.
    • If Windows does not start properly, remove one or more memory modules installed in your computer. Leaves a sufficient amount of RAM to boot your computer and run Windows XP.

Frankly speaking, use english language here because it is an english forum and most of the people here speak in english only. Anyways, as per the error code 0X00000050, it seems that you have a problem that is occuring if there is a conflict between Windows XP SP1 and the display adapter drivers that are currently installed. To resolve this problem, start your computer in Safe mode, remove the display adapter, rename the .inf files that are associated with the display adapter drivers, restart your computer in Normal mode, and then update your display adapter drivers.
