error 0x80070652 while installing Windows 8.1

I am trying to download Windows 8.1 Pro update on my other computer through the App Store because that is the only place I am able to get the option to get the latest windows update for this operating system. When I am on the Windows 8.1 pro preview then I am getting a strange error message that says "Something happened and the Windows 8.1 Preview couldn't be installed. Please try again. Error code: 0x80070652". I also restarted my pc but still am getting the same error? Can anyone please help me out? Thanks

You should first of all try to remove all the external hardware except mouse and keyboard. After that you have to ensure that all the drivers for all the devices are updated in your pc. You can download the same by going to computer manufacturer's website and download the latest ones. Try to also clear the store cache and see if that works. To do that press Windows + R key to open run box and then type WSReset.exe and press Enter key. Now try to download the Windows 8.1 update again from the App Store.

You can even try to perform a clean boot in your system and see if it does the trick. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. Or, if you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search. Type msconfig in the search box, and then tap or click msconfig. On the Services tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click to select the Hide all Microsoft services check box, and then tap or click Disable all. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click Open Task Manager. On the Startup tab in Task Manager, for each startup item, select the item and then click Disable. Close Task Manager. On the Startup tab of the System Configuration dialog box, tap or click OK, and then restart the computer.

Or else follow the suggestions given above to get the Windows 8.1 update in your pc.
