Metro UI lags in between newly upgraded Windows 8 system

Recently I had upgraded my system from Windows 7 to Windows 8. Upgrade was proper. There was no issue with that. But after that when the system finally boot up properly it is slow. The Metro UI screen on the desktop lags a lot. When I drag it to find out something it freezes. The same thing happen when I double click on any application icon on the home screen. It lags and work. It is not continuous or smooth.

It looks your system does not meet the minimum system requirement for Windows 8. Always before going for a new upgrade check that. Because later on that create a problem. You have to check the system requirements here and then you can test back. Run latest windows update also.

I also think the problem lies with system configuration. You pc is not capable of running Windows 8. Or it can be a video driver issue also. After upgrade you have to update all the drivers. There are two ways of doing. First you can manually visit the official site of motherboard manufacturer and download drivers for Windows 8 and install it. Second you can use a third party driver updater software. You can download a Driver Easy type of software which you can run and download all the drivers. This driver updater tool is easy to use and offer you simple solution also. You just have to run it and it will locate all the drivers. You don't have to find anything. You just have to run. The software scan and keep your system updated all the time. It is one of the best way to keep system updated without messing or finding fresh drivers manually. So just test out the tool.

Go in Uninstall a Program and from it just wipe out unwanted software. Remove which you don't need. Run latest windows updates in your system to add more stability and then test back. This will fix the problem and work really well.

Try to run fresh drivers updates and check back. That would be more appropriate in fixing the issue. If it is freezing more then just run Task Manager. See what you find in that. You can launch it and in that click on Performance. There you can find out the total system usage. If it is high then try to findout which service in the background is causing the problem. On that basis you can turn it of or remove it. To get more details about services running in the background you can try using Hijackthis. This software scan your system and generate a log report in the end. It gives you the entire list of services running and you can wipe out those who are not needed. It is always better to perform a clean setup instead of going ahead with upgrade. Because old system files can cause issue later. A clean format is more stable and reliable.

Always run Windows upgrade adviser. This will help you to find out whether your system will be able to run Windows 8 or not. If you run the tool it will checkout for all system config and offer you a proper way of upgrade.

You can enhance your system issue by adding more ram stick. It is correct that your system configuration is low due to which you are unable to get a proper output. It is lagging and freezing. This is basically due to low ram. Removing apps will not help you much. If you still keep on getting the same issue then I will recommend you to re-install everything back again. You can try to download a iso file from web and burn that into a dvd. Then run the full setup and done. It will be easy and simple. Through a clean setup a number of problem are resolved. Try to format the Windows partition and install everything back from scratch. This is the best solution to make your system stable.

Just add some ram that will do the job. What you can see in Task Manager. If it is slowing up then adding ram will boost the output and make it work more better. You can buy out affordable ram chips on web. Depending on your board model you can purchase one and add in your system.
