I have installed windows 8 successfully in my system but whenever I am trying to create a new folder I am getting Error code 0x80070570. What might be causing this issue? Any ideas.
Should I reinstall windows 8?

Can you just let me know the complete error message that you are getting with Error code 0x80070570? I have checked out for this error and it appears to come up in many different cases.
For eg Error Code: 0x80070570

This is the error message that I am getting:
" An unexpected error is keeping you from creating the folder. If you continue receive this error, you can use the error code to search for help with this problem. Error 0x80070570: The file or directory is corrupted and unreadable."
Let me know if you have any idea about it, thanks in advance.
Have you installed any third party application after installing windows 8? If yes than boot in to safe mode and check out if you are able to create a new folder there without any error. There are possibilities that this error might be occurring because of third party application conflicts.
No I haven’t installed any third party application yet. I was just trying to transfer my backup in newly installed windows 8 and while creating new folder to transfer them in appropriate folder I came across this error. I have tried booting in safemode and I am getting same error message there as well.
You can run SFC /Scannow command in order to repair Protected Windows Operating System Files. In order to SFC /Scannow command in windows 8 you can refer to below steps:
Open Charm menu > select Search > Type cmd > Click on cmd in left pane and open Command Prompt.
Type “diskpart” without quotes and hit enter.
Type “list volume” without quotes and hit enter.
Type “sfc /scannow /offbootdir=C:\ /offwindir=D:\windows” without quotes and hit enter. – Note = Replace C with Windows 8 drive
A small system scan will get started and will end in some minutes, once it gets finished reboot your system and try creating new folder after that.
I have tried running SFC /Scannow command, it came up with a confirmation message saying everything is OK but issue still persist. SFC /Scannow command doesn’t seem to have made any difference. Isn’t there any other solution that I might try rather than reinstalling windows ???
Currently I cant think of anything else that you that might help you out in dealing with this issue. Better try reinstalling windows and see if you are able to fix it. You can try running Chkdsk command to find out if there are any bad sectors in your volume. If not than go ahead with reinstallation procedure, best of luck. Let me know if you are able to fix it.
