windows 7 screen black prob ?

am using window 7 operating system.when I start my system I can see my mouse cursor but wholo screen got black out .. Can't do anything..but it is working fine in safe mode .. I can't restore the system because I haven't created any restore point.. Please help me out ???

You should have given few description about your system, like if you have graphic card. if yes, which graphic card, which board, etcc. Anyways, did you tried this:

1. Restart your computer by holding down F8 key
2. Now boot in "Safe mode with networking"
3. Now search on google for latest drivers for your graphics card manufacturer and Windows 7 compatible.
4. Download and install the new driver
5. Restart once again for changes to take effect.

I had the same problem, until a few minutes ago. My problem was that I had a NAS box set up on my local network, and 3 drives mounted and mapped the the Windows machine. I was getting ready to reinstall, when I tried rebooting the machine without networking in safemode.
The NAS was responding to a certain point, don't know which, didn't care, rebooted it (It was a QNAP Turbo NAS 219P) Then tried again, now that Windows didn't try to map the drive, explorer worked once more!
