When saving a file to a network drive, an extra "COMPUTER" icon appears on the desktop for each file that session. Logout and backin and all files go away. Why is this happening?
Can you try creating new administrator user account and check if the issue still persists. I would also suggest you to run free online antivirus scan from Microsoft website and check if it helps. There are many websites that can run online scan for any virus threats which might be able to help you out if you dont have any antivirus installed.
