Unable to boot after updating ManDriva 2011.0

I have installed ManDriva 2011.0 on my computer. I installed an update on the computer of mine and I did the same on my system. after couple of days when I was booting the system there was power outage. Now my system is not booting correctly and it is giving an emergency mode. When I booted the computer into Safe mode I got a warraing which can be mentioned as follows.

    FATAL Module ide_cd_mod not found.
Any useful instruction to resolve the issue would be deeply appreciated.

Well after going through the problem I recommend that you should perform a file system system check by using live CD. You should take care of the thing that is installed partition is supposed to be unmounted. Gparted is supposed to handle the same with live session. I have already done the same with corrupted EXT2 file partitions on Linux USB drives.

I got something interesting which will help you to resolve the issue. due to some unknown reason your IDE drive could be renamed to sdn rather than that of hdn. The remedy is boot into emergency mode and you have to edit fstab and comment all the mounts leaving boot/swap/home.
It will reenable the one row at a time and do mount –a in order to get which one did not seems to working for you.

Well I recommend that you should run fdisk –l on terminal and see what output do you getting. I ran
    Run
    Code:
     mdadm --detail --scan --verbose
into /etc/mdadm.conf so that I can update the entry.

you should take care of the thing that you have provided correct input into /etc/fstab.

In the situation of mine I have changed /dev/md127 to /dev/md0.

I am hoping that it will help someone.
