How to install newest Ubuntu 11.10 on ASUS X101??

I have recently purchased ASUS X101 netbook and I am very interested to install the Ubuntu 11.10 operating system on it. But I don’t know how to install it. Can anyone help me out to how to install it and how is it to use?? Any help relevant to this topic will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Dude I have installed 11.10 on my ASUS X101 netbook. Here is the process how to install it.First you have to download "universal usb installer" from pendrivelinx original website, then download the ubuntu 11.10 iso from ubuntu official website, Insert a blank thumbdrive, Gradually run your universal usb installer program and follow instructions to download ubuntu to your thumb drive. After that restart your netbook and press f2 to enter the BIOS. Properly alter the boot order so that the ASUS so that it will boot from your thumbdrive. ASUS will boot, click on "install ubuntu" and follow the instructions.

Dear friend I think you are mistaken "linx on a pendrive installer" is a window program. After installing Ubuntu you will get an installer package called unetbootin which is used for the software centre. So kindly recheck it. Thanks.

I am facing the same problem. I am unable with any version of ubuntu on my x101 netbook. I initially installed ubuntu version 10.04 from CD, but I am not getting a wifi connection, I also tried ubuntu 11.10 but I am facing the same problem. I am unable to do proceed now. What should I do now??? Since the x101 does not have an Ethernet port I am unable to proceed further.

When you enter into the BIOS you should keep Fn button pressed and also press F2 while booting your netbook. After that you should gradually change your boot order. I will suggest you to install lubuntu 11.10 from a CD using any external CD drive. I am quite sure it will function very properly. It makes the connectivity a little slow but it gradually works better.

Guys really appreciated for all your replies. Unfortunately I am still struggling to install ubuntu 11.10 version on my ASUS X101. I am unable to plan what should I do. I think I should install any other version of Ubuntu operating system. Thanks a lot guys. If you will find any solution regarding this please do let me know as soon as possible.
