Does windows 8 works on gigabyte motherboard G41

Hi, guys I want to upgrade my operating system from windows 7 ultimate to windows 8. My CPU configuration is 1GB DDR3 transcend RAM, gigabyte G41 motherboard and 80 GB Samsung hard disk. So I just want to ask you that can Is it possible to upgrade from windows 7 ultimate to windows 8. Please reply me as soon as possible, thanks.

You configuration is low but still you can upgrade from windows 7 ultimate to windows 8, but you won’t be able to upgrade till next 8 month because windows 8 is will release after 8 months.

How are you able to run windows 7 with 1GB RAM and 80 GB hard disk because, Windows 7 is to slow and struggles to run decently on 1 GB RAM and as windows 7 is write intensive so it would read and write slow because there are no SATA 3 not even SATA 2. So I guess windows 8 would run too slow in your system, so if you want go speed then add additional RAM and get other hard disk with more memory.

Yap, even I think that you must increase your RAM and hard disk, because my friend has netbook with 1GB ram and while doing multitasking it has pause of 30 seconds to 1 minute. I guess that your 80 GB hard disk must be PATA not SATA so you must change your hard disk because 80 GB mechanical drive will be very less for windows 8.

Yes you can upgrade from windows 7 to windows 8, if you can run windows 7 in your system ten you can also run windows 8, only thing is that it will be little slow because of your low configuration. but the speed is also depends on the user, how he uses or the application that the installed. so don't worry upgrade to window8 it will surely work.
