Boot camp windows 7 on MBP black screen

I am having trouble installing windows 7 on my MacBook pro. I can set up a partition with a genuine retail disk in the drive but it simply boots to a black screen. Has anybody any experience with this? I've been trying to figure it out for days

I think that windows 7 requires the NTFS file system, so once in the installer just select your new partition (labelled BOOTCAMP), click on Drive options (Advanced) and choose to format it. Also there was a similar kind of discussion done, which might help you, in this thread - Windows 7 64-bit on Bootcamp black screen/blinking cursor for ages pre-boot on MacBook Pro
