Vista - Cannot access picture folder

hi guys i know there are posts about this previously but whenever i click on my pictures from start menu nothing happens. No error message, no screen pops up, it doesnt even leave the start menu.

I have tried disabling the start up programmes to see if it was something stopping it from happening and nothing. I have tried changing the reg key to %USERPROFILE%\Pictures and either im doing something wrong but these just are not sorting the problem. Iis there any other way of sorting this problem?

Are you logged in the admin account. If you have multiple accounts in the system the issue can be due to that. The folders are located inside Document and Settings in Windows directory. Try to check that manually. By browsing to the folder manually which show you that the folders is either present or deleted. Or else below is a small fix which can help you to restore the personal folders in Windows Vista.
