Programs loads slow in Windows 8

I am using a six month old laptop and recently installed the Windows 8 on it. After installing this, I found that whenever I start any of the programs like firefox browser or anything then it takes a long time to open that. Some of the times it goes to 1 minute or more. This is very annoying to wait for a program to opened for such a long time.Please reply. I will appreciate each reply.

I think that the problem is with the software that you are trying to start and takes more time. So try by reinstalling the software and see if that can solve the issue or not. For me, this is more likely to be software issue and reinstalling it might help you.

Try by disabling the antivirus in your system as that might be checking the program before jit get loaded to the system. This is one of the most possible reason's for this.

There is possible that virus is available in your pc, if it is not than you do defragmentation and delete cookies, empty recycle bin, clean up startup menu, you do all these options and check again.

Keep the security level of the antivirus that you are using a bit low or medium and then try to open the programs again. See if that takes the same time again.
