Installation time for Windows 8

I am thinking to install the Windows 8 on my computer as this is available but before installing that, I wish to know that how much time it will take to install the Windows 8 to the system. What will happen if the power off at the time of installation of the Windows 8. Please reply if you have experience of installing Windows 8.
