OS X Lion error: The software could not be verified and corrupted during download

Today I went for installing the OS X Lion on my iMac and unluckily I couldn’t able to make to the last. When trying to install I got error message saying that the software might not be verified. It might have been corrupted otherwise tampered with for the duration of downloading. I searched for this on Google but I didn’t get any proper solution yet.

Download it again because the first download went wrong and the archive does not comply with (the meaning of the error message).

Here is a little known fact about the installer of OS X Lion - that is erased after it completes the installation of OS X Lion, and also to save bandwidth DSL. Especially if you plan to update more than one Mac in your home or office. Fortunately, there is no need to download the installation of OS X Lion on each computer and losing precious time. If you do this quick and easy suggestions before installing OS X Leo for the first time, to avoid downloading times.

Lion to have an external disk may be useful for several reasons, the first of which is the ability to access the operating system and its installer even if there are problems with the hard drive of the computer on which it is installed. Lion creates a recovery partition that you can use in case of problems with the software, but I think it preferable to have a version of the files on optical media even if the hard drive decides to misbehave.

The solution is simple. All it takes is a backup copy of the installer that was downloaded from the Mac App Store before allowing them to update your Mac If you have upgraded to Mac OS X Lion is probably too late.

If you have downloaded and installed OS X Lion controlled the Applications folder after the update to see if the installation of OS X Lion is still on your Mac Otherwise you should download it again. If there is, you can use this procedure to make a backup copy or to locate a copy to install it on other Macs and want to upgrade.

Mac OS X does not require maintenance but before you do a major upgrade of the system such as that which awaits us with the launch of Lion, and should however, follow some simple steps to verify that the system is in perfect "health" and all is working. Here are some simple steps you can take before you start installing the new system.
    • Check the proper functioning of the hard drive
    • Repair disk permissions
    • Make sure that the most important applications are updated
    • Check for old PowerPC software
    • Eliminate unnecessary software loaded on startup
    • Clean it up Safari.
    • Disable Safari Extensions
    • Make a backup of your data!

You did a mistake. You should have made the DVD of Lion. The important reason why you should write the image of Lion on a DVD is the ability to access Disk Utility to format the computer to do an installation. You may want to use the opportunity of moving to a new OS to clean up your hard drive and leave no trace of Snow Leopard, but the installer series of Lion not access to the utilities. After launching the app you create a partition to install on your computer hard drive. When this is ready the Mac is restarted and the installation of the Lion automatically. Conversely, if you boot from a DVD with the image of Lion you can access the Utilities and initialization.

Altering permissions worked in favor of me following numerous downloads. It wasn't sufficient to make use of the info panel on top of the downloaded program except I had to make use of "sudo chmod -R a+rw ...”

With Lion is no longer supported to run PowerPC applications of old (and only the applications only work for Universal or Intel) with Rosetta (the translator allows transparent in Leopard and Snow Leopard to run older applications that are not native to Intel).

Since downloading Lion will be possible only through the Mac App Store if you have a slow internet connection this could be an obstacle: Contact your local dealer to see if a service operates with prior download installation of the operating system at its headquarters: you entrust your computer for a few hours but it could be an opportunity to update the long-delayed hardware equipment and software.
