Can a server with 32 bit architectures, serve client machines with 64 bit architecture

Suppose I have a File and Application server domain controller with 32- bit architecture, what will happen if a client logs in to the server from 64 bit machine, is there a possibility for any type of malfunctioning ?

Yes it will. The architecture difference only matters in case of performance and compatibility of hardware. In this the Server operating system manages everything. 64Bit provides more hardware support than 32Bit. And according to me linking a 64bit machine with 32bit server will surely not create any issue for your system. You can try the same and test it. What should remain common among them is the application which will access database or network.

    Thank you for your answer
And what about the opposite scenario; Let's say I have a x64 bit server , and x32 bit client. On the server there is an app , that can run only on x64 bit architecture, that would mean , that the clients can not use it , same as let's say we were trying to install it for CD on our client machine.
