cant open application files on PC

for my old version computeter that is Dell lantitude C840. i want a wireless connection.what i need exactly is it requires a driver in orde to get a wirelss connection.for that i also downloaded all the required drivers and i transferred all the drivers files into the flash drive and when i connected it to my old computer it does not opening the file only. pls let me know how to open this files ???

according to me the application got it icons corrupter or removed it is also not giving me the reason is i already ran other application without any problem i am having the problem with this single application . but i have copied it and it got replicated and rest of all are not running only that is dell driver download manager and even the icon is not appearing in my case..

i think the issure is with your computer system , you just need to get the newest or latest net framework in case to let the download manager work. there is one method for this is
• avoid the use of mozilla firefox if you have internet explorer for download the drivers.
• you need to clear all the cookies ,cache of your browser
• you can see two different option when you click on the download option
• dont select the download using Dell download manager option.
• select the another option that is download via browser

you can try by registry

• goto start >run >write command over there
• write the codes as given follows :-

• cd\windows
• regedit
after typing the above if the registry editory run properly then move to the following links :-
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ exefile \ shell \ open \ command
• click on the default in the right side section
•remove the exesting data and write
•move to HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\.exe
• at the right side of the section, select the default into exefile
•come out of the Registry Editor.
if also you are not able to open the Regedit.exe from command prompt then try to use the copy regedit.exe regedit.com or regedit.com.

this problem is not with the window the problem is of virus. reastart your system and go to safe mode and through there open msconfig mark 'load startup items' as unchecked and reastart your system again and check if the same problem occures or not..if everything run safely then execute adaware and check if it has bee removed or not. or try to remove it manually from safe mode.

If you are not able to open .exe file try this out :-
• goto start and then go to control panel and select and go to folder options
• you are able to acquire the option menu by simply clicking on the tools tab from the main menu.
• over here choose the file type.
• select the new button and create a new extension.
• and write .exe as in the blank space and then click on ok.
• it will automatically select the .exe extension
• now the final step is just select and click on the restore button and exit the dialog bix.
