win server 2003 as file server

I have dell poweredge server with 2003 which was part of old POS Sys.
we got new system and I want to use this as file server.
It has domain setup to it, I dont have password for it.
I have admin pass so can get in to active dir restore with F8.

Please advise how to make it file server.

My last option would be install Ubuntu.

It is very easy to set up a File Server. Navigate to the "Configure your server wizard" icon on the start menu and click it to open the configure your server application. Select the "File Server" role from the list and click next. You will be asked whether or not you want to enable the indexing service (which allows people to search the contents of the file server). My recommendation is that you leave it off so as to better performance. However, this depends entirely on the way users would utilize your file server. More information can be found here.

Well your reply definitely help on my second step.
But First is I dont have domain login password so cant login as normal startup every time I have to do F8 and choose different startup, use admin password.
I dont need that domain but I dont know how to remove it either.
