How to fix dxgkrnl.sys 0x0000116 error message on windows 7

I recently bought a new computer last week and yesterday when someone connected my computer using Team Viewer then my pc shut down and I got a blue screen of death error message saying something related to dxgkrnl.sys 0x0000116. I am able to login to safe mode and have also updated the graphisc driver but I am not able to login to normal mode. Any ideas how to fix this problem? Thanks

Well, can you try to do a system restore and then see if the problem gets resolved? To do a System Restore in your pc, login to Safe Mode and then open System Restore by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button. In the search box, type System Restore, and then, in the list of results, click System Restore. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Follow the steps in the wizard to choose a restore point and restore your computer. You can also get more information on this page - http://windows.microsoft.com/en-IN/w...system-restore

If the above doesnt work then you can also try to use the System File Checker tool to repair missing or corrupted system files. To do this, click Start, type Command Prompt or cmd in the Search box, right-click Command Prompt, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for a confirmation, type the password, or click Allow. At the command prompt, type the following command, and then press ENTER:
    sfc /scannow

Since you have already tried to update the graphics drive and it still hasnt worked for you then check to ensure that your CPU is not overheating. You can try to remove the side panel of your computer cabinet and try to run the computer it this way only and check if your computer shutsdown or gives the same error message. If it doesnt then surely its an overheating problem and you will have to clean all the dust from inside the cabinet and also apply thermal paste in the CPU area.
