fix data and time after battery replacement

    Hi

A fed months my battery failed to operate, as a result every time I used to restart my laptop the date used to go to 2007 and time at 00:00 (I knew that this was due to the battery).

However 2 days a go a bought a new battery, It works, as I can work without the power cable for around 2.30 hours (normal time for my laptop) but I still have the time/date problem.

Could their be anything else, or is there a way I can fix this problem?

    Thanks in advance

    I forgot to mention:
When I did not have a battery, every time I used to restart the laptop it used to say "CMOS Battery low press F1 to Résumé", unfortunately it still says this - I took the battery off and put it back on but nothing changes

The CMOS battery is all the way to the left front bend while you unlock the case. It's covered in shrink tubing and is agitated to a connector on the motherboard. So you can just remove it and plug in the replacement one time you get it. Though the battery is mainly a standard ML2032 and if you split unlock the plastic wrapping of the old battery and re-wrap it with a substitute battery then you can accomplish it yourself.
