Unable to get Centos 5.5 DVD ISO image

I'm trying to record a 64-bit Centos 5.5 DVD with no success. I click on the download site x86_64 and presented me with a list of mirror sites. They every have somewhat similar to CentOS-5.5-x86_64-bin-1of8.iso. I estimate it is an ISO image of a CD. I cannot discover anything regarding a DVD ISO image, however the CentOS-5.5-x86_64-bin-DVD.torrent. When I click on it, the browser obtains an error that the server terminates the link. Can someone tell me how I am able to obtain a single ISO file to burn a DVD?

I take for granted 'CentOS-5.5-x86_64-bin-DVD.torrent' is a torrent file used for receiving the DVD iso image through Bit Torrent, however I cannot download that file in any way. So what I supposed to perform to create a 64-bit Centos DVD iso image as of the image list on top of?

Hello Thanks for the reply. Basically it does contain two DVD ISO files. I am downloading them at the present. It look like the .torrent files are not easy to get to from browsers, I have endeavor Internet Explorer resting on Windows and Safari as of MacOS and none of them are capable to download the torrent file. What do you think about it? And I will reply you back after downloading these files. Thanks again for this file.

It seems that the DVD image cannot be used for installation, or at least in VMWare. I've recorded on DVD, the first with more than 4 GB size and the second is about 400 MB or more. When I use the DVD first boot in VMware, what kind of start, but then complain about not finding an OS to install. After several attempts, I finally gave up and downloaded the 8 CD ISO image and installed from them. The whole thing worked very well with that. You only require the first CD 4. I estimate the rest is just extra / elective packages.

For VMware, or some supplementary virtualization method I make use of, there is no necessitate for physical media. Just position the virtual CD / DVD to ISO file and you're finished. Physical media can also be used. If the installation DVD does not work, or it was a terrible download or appalling burn. What CD is necessary depends on what you choose. Most of it is "optional" in a good judgment. A minimal installation (including everything deselect base) can be done from the CD # 1 and some people claim that the installation is still too fat.
