Icons on my desktop have a color box around the titles.

I am using the windows vista on mine system and I am using the active desktop photo. Yesterday when restart the system my all icon have a color around the title on the desktop. Normally the icon titles have a light background to blend better with the desktop. They look unpleasant on the desktop and I'm in my final intellect on how to fix it. I have also gone through some threads to solve mine issue but I didn’t have any answer for this solution. Now I don’t know how to solve this issue. Can anyone help on this topic and so that I can solve mine issue.

I would like to suggest you the following steps and so that you can solve your issue. To perform this you need to follow the following steps: close the all application on your system and then now on the desktop make right click on the blank space and after that select the properties. Now under the properties select the desktop tab and then make hit on the customized desktop button and after that on the customized desktop select the web tab. Now on the web tab make sure that you have selected nothing on the webpage list and after that make check mark on the Lock desktop items check box. And after that make hit on the Ok and then close the application. Once you complete this now go through your issue and I hope this will help you lot.

Hi thanks for answering and would appreciate your suggestions. I tried lots of ways to solve the crisis, so far no luck until now. One think I have clear is that I am not able to locate the Web tab in the proposal above. What I see then click "Customize Desktop" is a "General" label, which has "My Documents, My Network Places," "My Computer", "Internet Explorer" check box you can select. In addition, while i tick the mouse on the display, organize Icons in the area I could not find "Lock Web." Am I on the same page or is there some other things I did wrong?

Recently I had this same issue and I have gone through this steps and it help me to solve mine issue. To solve this issue you need to follow the steps below: first go to the start and then make right click on my computer and then select the properties. Now under the properties go to the advance tab and then make hit on the setting button. After that now on the performance panel make hit on the visual effect tab and after that make check mark on the use drop shadows. Once you complete process finally make hit on the Apply and then select the OK button and after that close the windows and then check out your issue.

I would like to suggest you the following things and so that you can solve your issue. To do these follow the steps below. First open the one paint file to do that go to the start and then select the all program and after that select the accessories and now make hit on the paint. Now under the paint select the any image on that and after that save the file and while you’re saving you need make this file as .JPEG or JPG. Now once you save the file right click on the saved file and then select the set as background and after that go through your issue. I hope this will help you lot to solve your issue.
