I am using the windows vista on mine system and last night I have tried to update mine windows but it doesn’t works. While I am updating I got this error:”Windows Update FAILED: Error 0x80070643 for Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition Service Pack 4 (KB2463332)”. I have tried lots of time to resolve this error but I got the same issue. I have tried to reboot the system and then delete the update files and again tried to install but I got the same issue. While Office 2003 is not, the fault seems to designate a crisis with Windows. NET Framework. Can anyone suggest on this topic and so that I can solve your issue.

Generally, when windows update does not work is because you have disabled the service concerned. It occurred to me several times and I have worked with: select the start and then go to the run and under the run type services. Msc and after that make hit on the ok button, now you will get the widows under that make check mark on the SQL Server (SQL Express) in the list. If it was disable then make it has enable and then the manual option instead of to disable the menu. Now your system will update. I hope this will help you lot.

I would like to suggest you to perform the Windows Installer service and so that you can update your windows automatically and so that you can solve your issue. To perform these follow the steps below: go to start and then click on the run and under the run type: services.msc and then hit the ok button. Now you will get the Windows Installer in the all install services and under that right click on Windows Installer and choose Start, during this time you may get the error and if got then hit the continue and then modify the Startup Type to Automatic. Now once you complete this restart your system and go through issue.
