    BootMGR is missing ( i have no operating system)

    Hello all i have a problem my girl friend slammed my toshiba laptop and the next time i started it powers up and says BOOTMGR is missing press ctrl alt del to restart. I tried to reinstall windows vista with a 32bit dvd and it starts to install and i get his error. I took a picture of the error to show you what it says

    I cant use the repair option in the vista dvd because there is no operating system to repair and the start up repair option does not work

    the laptop is a toshiba satelliet L305D-S5928 any help would be great please and thanks for your time

    Welcome, there was different solution for missing Bootmgr but as you have already formatted the system and now getting the error code 0x80070003, it indicates that some required installation file is missing from the setup. Hence installation is unable to complete.

    Probably this problem occurred if you have not properly burned the installation disk or the disk might have been got damaged. Dont get tempered.     hi,
    I have the same problem here to discuss with you,
    just recently i repaired my laptop and change the motherboard there,
    after coming home i start installing win xp in pc with cd, but there is this massage is appearing. i am not able to find out how to install the os in my fresh lappy, ialso use pen drive to install the setup but again same there.
    help me to install the fresh os in my lappy.

    I dont got you properly. If am not making mistake, i think you also getting the same problem, i.e. BootMGR missing while running Setup. If yes, probably it should due to damaged CD but as you said you also tried pendrive. Just what i can suggest you at the moment is this:
