My problems have been with a window appears that says "no MSVCRT40.dll a valid Windows." I had ignored for a long time, but then tonight I could not start a new program and has had a window javaw.exe. I installed all Java software latest versions via the Add / Remove Programs. That was solved but the MSVCRT40 worse. I don’t have any other idea to solve this kind of problem if any person has any other idea to solve this issue so please help me by providing a proper solution.

I had the same problem nearly 5 month ago and I talk to many of my friends about this problem but no one solved my problem then suddenly I purchase original copy of msvcrt40.dell from legitimate source and its worked fine now I feel relax to this problem then I know the original problem was with this downloaded msvcrt40.dell. so I would like to suggest you that do not download this from “dell download”. If you have downloaded copy of it so please change it and obtain it from original.

If you are not able to access windows normally because of this msvcrt40.dll then start windows in safe mode. Once again restart msvcrt40.dll from recycle bin. There us possibility of missing of any file of msvcrt40.dll. May be any file deleted by you mystically. If you believe that you have by chance deleted msvcrt40.dll but you have already unfilled the recycle bin, you may be able to recover msvcrt40.dll through the free fill program. First confirm that you have all file. I hope this information will help you. Retrieving a copy of msvcrt40.dll removed with a file recovery program is a good idea only if you are sure you have deleted the same file and it was working properly previous to you did that.

    Re: Msvcrt40.dll Error Messages

Msvcrt40.dll some errors might be related to a virus or infection by other types of malware on the computer that has corrupted the DLL. It is even possible that the msvcrt40.dll error you are seeing is related to a hostile program that masquerades as the file so I would like to tell you any anti virus software for scanning your entire system if you asked me so I suggest you to use Malwarebytes, and after scanning your system restart your system once again if you will get solution from this then it will fine.

Check your memory and then check your HDD. I have left the mostly of hardware troubleshooting to the last step, but your memory of workstation and hard drive are simple to test and are the most possible components that might cause msvcrt40.dll errors as they fail. If your hardware not worked properly any of your tests change the memory or change the hard drive at the moment if possible. Many times it happens because of hardware Fallieres.

This problem usually occurs when msvcrt40.dll is missing from your system.
Missing msvcrt40.dll file can be downloaded from here.

Download it and then extract the downloaded zip file to the Windows System32 folder, which is located in Windows Drive.
Note: Windows drive is the drive in which your windows is installed.
(that is located in your main drive which contains the installed windows)
