    Maemo SDK is not working Ubuntu kernel 2.6.24

    I currently install memo SDK of version 5 inside Ubuntu since previously my scratch box is working well but after up gradation it stops working. Anyone knows about my scratch box problems. Scratch box work very well for me in Ubuntu 7.10 for kernel 2.6.24 but when I upgraded to 8.04, that's when the problems started. I tried following code:

    Code:
    Rahul@Rahul-desktop:~$ scratchbox
    variation notice by ld.so: rtld.c: 1194: dl_main: declaration `(void *) ph->p_vaddr ==_rtld_local1_dl_sysinfo_dos' unsuccessful!
    Does my kernel having any problem? Or any other issue causing this problem please let me know about this problem through your thoughts.

    Yes, you will require to download all the scratchbox .deb files listed in the installation instruction you will able to get this files on the instruction manual, if suppose you have the instruction manual book then you can get this through an online support. You can also download it easily and after you will require using dpkg -i --force-architecture to install inside the pc so you need to try out. Afterwards you just run the sdk setup script. Don't make out if that is the best way, or that'll even work for you, but it worked very well for me.

    The above is functioning up to 2.6.24-rc6. Subsequent to that there is a susceptibility unchanging in the kernel and after 2.6.24-rc7 in any allocation, the higher than fix will not work and the scratch box (Fremantle's too) installation will fail. At present I wasn't able to discover a workaround (I can mention that SELinux installation fixes your problem very easily). If any person did find such workaround, please share, because this is going to be a major issue in newer distros.

    Re: Maemo SDK is not working Ubuntu kernel 2.6.24

    To install scratchbox, you will require use the scratchbox installer handwriting of maemo 5, you download from forum Nokia, because the maemo 4 installer may not work on in your system. And you will require to try freemantle SDK even you will require don't contain a N900. So, to test, you will require also install the maemo5 SDK as well as it looks freemantle armed as well as x86 works well with scratchbox.

    But you will require the diablo SDK, to accumulate programs for Nokia N900. So you will require install manually several scratchbox packages needed for diablo:

    Code:
    scratchbox-toolchain-cs2010q3.2-glibc2.7-i386-1.0.7-i386.tar.gz
    scratchbox-toolchain-cs2010q3.2-glibc2.7-arm-1.0.7.2-i386.tar.gz
    scratchbox-devkit-maemo3-1.0.11-i386.tar.gz
    scratchbox-devkit-cputransp-1.0.11-i386.tar.gz
