I think that the control buttons are disabled for the reason that the service is previously running continuously, and it usually it does not sustain the end, pause, or restart purposes. The Startup type is disabled for the reason that including an administrator, executing the management console prominent, is disallowed from altering the configuration. If you are totally single-minded to modify the startup type for this and also potentially additional services that or else react likewise, execute the services management console as SYSTEM. The other way to start with it is to start a command prompt as SYSTEM (psexec -sid cmd.exe ), and from there launch services.msc. While you do that, the Startup type dropdown becomes enabled. But I usually does not recommend it.

Not to worry this is absolutely normal. These services are serious system components, if you disable them or imperfectly verify them; your machine may or may not perform. It’s recommended to disappear them alone and never modify them. Nevertheless, if you in fact want to modify service options, we can modify them through the Registry indirectly. Now what you do is Open Regedit, navigate to: [HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\Rpcss]. After it Right-click Rpcss, in that select Permissions, tick Add and find Administrator, and no w you should have to give away the Full Control permission, and finally click OK.

First you should make sure that you are executing the Services Management console as an elevated administrator. And you should have to confirm that you have a confirmed backup of the system and any of the critical data. Also one of friend resolved the concern after downloading PStools utilities. It really helped him out; I didn’t understand that there are unusual administrator rights to windows 7 so this has been also a great learning experience.
