    Vista update error 800703F9

I am asking for help because I getting problem at the time of vista update. I tried several things: hide some of the error and I know that the update is problematic. I tried to install update manually from Microsoft Update. Tried to install update in Safe Mode but give me error. Whatever I do, windows try to install it at the same time as soon as I restart the PC. Obviously, each time it failed. The error code that I am getting is 8007371C and 800703F9 after Vista updates are failed. For now I disabled the automatic searches in Windows Update but my pc is vulnerable over time and passes this thing. The other problem is that previous restore points were deleted I have tried to restore it to previous setting but it is not resulting in anything good. If you can provide any related help then I will be really thankful.

These error code 8007371C and 800703F9 ERROR_NOT_SAFEBOOT_SERVICE means. The installation of updates for Vista cannot be done in safe mode. You should try to recovery to normal Windows Update. You can try to download the update and then install the update. If this thing is not working then next time computer system reboots and updates fail again. Click on Windows Update again and this time click View History of updates. Find the last three updates or the most recent list. For each update, double-click it and details related to this failure. Just post those details then I can solve the problem that you are facing.

I have followed the steps that you have said in the above reply and then started installing the update from Windows Update 3 and here the message appears: "Some updates were not installed" "Success: 2 updates" "Failed: 1 update" "Errors found: code 8007371C" Then I rebooted the computer system then windows update, view historical of SHIFT, double click on each Shift. KB951376 error: 800703F9 KB950762 error: 800703F9 and this KB950759 error: 8007371C. Now I am hoping that I will get the solution for the problem that I am facing.

I think that I am also facing similar kind of issues disk installation of windows, this is the DVD that I created during installation of the PC (SONY PC pre-installed) and the next thing is Restore Point. I feel I have no restore point to more than 5 to 6 days so I cannot do that thing anyways if I am trying to do that then also I will get the same error. One more thing I tried to install the KB955430 (Windows6.0-KB955430-x86) (after saving it on the desktop). The installation begins with an attempt that fails SHIFT: "The Shift does not apply to your system. And the last point. These are some errors KB961501, err code: 8007371C, KB967632, err code: 8007371C, KB968537, err code: 800703F9, KB969897, err code: 8007371C, KB970239, err code: 800703F9, rest of thing are installed perfectly. Additional information that I think can help you to resolve the issue: I tried to install KB947821 (analysis tool for the installation complies SHIFT system ": The install starts well then after sometime it gives me message that failed to install this Update.

    Re: Vista update error 800703F9

I encountered the same problem with KB946041 (which I uninstalled) and KB 938371 I uninstalled too, where I had the same message "Step 3 of 3 - 0% done". I finally managed to install these 2 updates in the following way (and eventually they set up quite quickly). I re-download the second update from windows update without installing them. Then I uninstalled Spybot, Avast (free version) and BitDefender (free version) with CCleaner, repair registry errors with CCleaner too. Then I started the installation of second updates and when I restarted the computer, configuring the updates took place on the first try. Now everything is working perfectly. I hope that this will help many of you to solve the problem that you are facing.

For me the problem persists but I will give you the information that I am having and the things that I have tried. I have tried to manually install the KB946041. Try uninstalling the KB937287 update, because sometimes it is problematic: Here are some steps that I have followed. Go to "Start" - "Control Panel" - "Uninstall a program" - "show installed updates" (in the left sidebar) - double click on the update KB937287. One more thing my friend suggest that if you still have the same problem, verify that you are the administrator of your pc and if so, try booting your pc in safe mode ("Start" - "stop" - reignite the PC and click several times on the F8, choose "Start in safe mode) to remainder" windows normally "remade the same procedure: (" Start "-" stop "- reignite the PC and click repeatedly on the F8 key, choose" Restart Windows normally ") after all that, if it does not work properly cross your fingers for an update to make its appearance here for some time because sometimes those for vista are not always operational. Now I am just hopping that another update will definitely resolve the problem that I am facing.

I think that I am also sailing in the same boat; I mean to say that, I am also waiting for the solution of this problem. Except that this has generated another problem. When I open my computer, Vista will not load directly. It opens me the Windows Boot Manager. After that is fine. So I wait the new update that will solve the problem. I made the proposals made by other members, but success was not at the rendezvous. If you find any related solution for this problem then do not forget ping and remember that I am also in the same queue.
