Windows and Linux are two completely different platforms. So I cannot say there is a direct way by which both can communicate with each other. But there is one similarity. TCP/IP, this protocol can talk with both the systems and there are possibility of establishing a connection. You have to work on that a little bit. If you want to configure outlook to your linux server then best option is to use a third party Mail Server. For example Bynari InsightServer. You have to configure your mails on this on Linux and later on configure oultook with to Bynari InsightServer.
