Disable mouse-over effect on taskbar?

I am using an old-fashioned taskbar with a simple and smaller options where i am getting small icons and text instead of the big icons. I would be very much happy if an effect which makes it light up orange when you mouse-over a program can be removed as it gets orange when there used to be any IMs to read. So please helps me to solve this annoying feature.

I think there wont be any solution by which you can get rid of this feature as it is much important to get notified when you are currently on that particular tab. I think you have to live with it or there might be some themes of the browser which you may use in which such features would have used some other but but sober color so that you wont be getting annoyed.

According to me this orange taskbar button is a feature of windows operating system so i guess you have to make a changes in the registry of the windows operating system. Now i do not have much idea about the windows registry. So i think you have to search for the solution to make changes in the registry of windows 7.

I have another solution for you which you may can use in order to get rid of an Orange colored tab on taskbar of your windows 7 operating system. Simplest way to get rid of this problem is to Enable an Autohide feature of the Windows Taskbar so that neither you would be having taskbar nor that orange color on taskbar.

I would like to ask you that when your taskbar started showing the freezing issue? Is this issue comes by logging in using any user on your system. I think you should update your computer's graphic drivers. Go to the Device Manager->right click on the device-> properties->update the driver software to check the result.
