SBS 2008 exchange setup

Hi I have just setup SBS 2008 and have a problem sending emails.I can recieve emails from outside through the pop3 connector.I use a service provider for my adsl with its own smtp server that i have to use and have another sp for emails.I get an error when sending emails and the email address on the report is that of the correct user but not the correct email add. eg correct user john@bang.com (bang.com being the 2008 servers domain name ) and the correct email add should be john@correct.co.za .I tried setting up smart host with authentication and with out , still no luck.Pls note i am not familiar with exchange this is only the 2nd time setting up exchange previous was sbs 2003 which went well..I also get a certificate error when opening outlook which i just accept and install each time

You will need to have a smart host or other configured.
Using SBS2003/Ex03 I do it the following way:

Exchange system Manager > administrative groups > first administrative group > routing groups > first routing group > connectors > Small Business SMTP connector

Thanx , I do have a smart host configured but still cant send.Has this to do with the Auth Domain being my local domain that i created? because i can send internal mail no problem.Do i have to setup a relay to the outside world and how do i do that?I also tried adding a 2nd connector still no luck
