Problem with virtual memory

I turned on my laptop on 6/14/10 and received a message that windows 7 was setting a temp. virtual memory and opened the Performance Options window. I set up the virtual memory saved it, applyed it, and restarted my computer. When it restarted, I received the same message. I have tried at least a half dozen times and still nothing. I have tried custome as well as letting the computer manage the vm. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You will not notice a lost of place if you have a look in your hard disk. Because that space is used up by virtual memory. It uses up your hard drive. So if you have lesser space on your hard drive then issue which occurred is common. You have two values to determine the virtual memory initial size and maximum size. So if you put 1500 MB of initial, you must have 1500 MB or more for the maximum size.
