Ubuntu with the Windows 98

I am having a very old computer in which Windows 98 is installed as an operating system. I ordered the CD Linux [Ubuntu]. Now I want to know that is it possible that it works on very old pc?? I am expecting some needful help from you members.!! Hoping that someone will be interested in helping me soon.
