VMware with Time Machine and Macbook Air Parallels

I am facing the problem with taking the backup of new Macbook Air. Before I got this macbook air, I Had year old model Macbook Air WHERE I Had Parallel with Windows installed in it. So I Did a Time Machine backup because i Knew i was gonna get this new MacBook Air I Have Now. So I got my new computer and put 'everything from time machine back on my new MacBook Air, goal When I tried to open Parallel, I got an error message ''Parallels Desktop can not function properly because it can not communicate with one of its drivers. Try restarting the application to solve this problem''. If the problem persists, try reinstalling Parallels Desktop. Note that Parallels drivers requires a short period to be started and initialized correctly. You may have to wait one minute before trying to launch the application. Also I want to ask that whether I can use the VMware with Time Machine and Macbook Air Parallels..??

VMware recently had the third version of Fusion, which now continues the battle, with the arrival of the fifth version of Parallels Desktop, virtualization software for Mac loaded with new features and several general optimizations, which in my opinion look superior to within its competence. It offers full support for Snow Leopard and virtualization of Windows 7, including support for DirectX 9 Shader Model 3.0 with Aero, Flip 3D and OpenGL 2.1. Operates at 64-Bit, and offers full support multitouch.

Parallels claims to have noticeably improved, now with support for up to 8 virtual processors and new ways of integrating the virtual machine with the Mac, including a new crystal mode that allows applications to run virtual machine operation feeling almost "native "thereof, with ability to copy / paste between Win and Mac, use Apple Remote in Windows, and more. The backup tools are many Mac OS X and some of them, including how to clone, are presented on this site to trick the "Backup and OS X" . SNOW LEOPARD Mac OS X installed on the Mac as a backup tool, it is "Time Machine". "Time Machine" is not meant to replace your favorite tool for cloning, since this tool is different in its functioning .

Indeed, "Time Machine" primary role is to make incremental backups automatically. It certainly allows the restoration of all or part of your computer, but does not restart on a clone. By cons, thanks to incremental backups "Time Machine", you'll be able (through the browser "Time Machine") back in time and go in search of your old files and see exactly what it was like your computer at a given date . Select a specific date and let "Time Machine" identify the most recent changes, or do a search for "Spotlight" to find exactly what you are looking for. Then click "Restore".

To activate Time Machine, simply click on the Time Machine icon located in the folder "System Preferences". We advise you to first check the "Show Time Machine status in menu bar" because it allows you to easily keep an eye on when the last backup or start a backup manually. Play now drag the button to "On". According to my opinion as long as you do plenty of backups do not harm, you can opt for both a clone and partition "TimeMachine", both of which can be installed for example on a large external hard drive (500GB or 1TB or more).

If your backup disk is too small to hold all the files on your startup disk, then you can tell Time Machine not to perform the backup of any of them. To do this, click on the Options button in the Preferences panel of Time Machine. You can then drag the items you want to exclude on the list "do not backup, or by clicking on the button with the" + "and navigate to the folder or file by clicking on the button below Exclude. he files that are part of the operating system, including programs such as Safari, Preview, and iCal, consume about 10 GB. To exclude, add your System folder to the list "do not backup" Click on Exclude All System Files when prompted. Note that excluding these files means Time Machine will not restore your entire disk, but that should not be a problem if you keep aside a boot doubled.

In terms of space obviously have to take into account the total size of the data you want to do backup. That is, if your Mac has a 1,000 GB internal drive but you are only using 250 GB, obviously you need is an external disk of 250 GB. For example 500 GB would be fine (provided they do tend to fill faster internal drive, of course). Time Machine should be configured to not make backups of bulky items that change frequently. For example, I have a folder called "NO BACKUP! where I keep things as images of DVDs I'm recoding and just need to have temporarily; that folder I have it excluded from TM backups. I have also excluded the folder containing the virtual machine disks (Parallels or Fusion), as they are large and change every time you start a VM, which would force Time Machine to copy frequently.
