    OpenSUSE 11.2 and eeebuntu grub2

    Hi all,

I start using Ubuntu 9.10 to boot grub2, new guidance grub2 profile is no longer menu.lst, but rather / Boot / grub / grub.cfg document, which is different from the old version, but for safety reasons, the file defaults to "read only" attribute, so i must modify the boot menu before the first of its file attributes to "read write "before they can modify the file contents. Can you tell me more about this. All the best.

    # DO NOT EDIT THIS FILE
    # It is automatically generated by / usr / sbin / grub-mkconfig using templates
    # From and settings from / etc / default / grub
    # # # BEGIN / etc/grub.d/00_header # # #
set default = 0 / / The default boot sequence
    set timeout = 5 / / Wait long
set root = (hd0, 7) / / Boot partition directory files are located
    search - fs-uuid - set 98c1c189-b321-440d-89b5-7ff0723c83e2 / / Root partition UUID

    set menu_color_normal = cyan / blue / / Set the background color

In addition, as part of the use of OEM soft activation of windows 7, as soft and grub4dos change the grldr conflict, repair can not be used grub4dos, nor can use grub4dos hard drive installation, especially changes grub4dos, for software users to change win7. g2ldr is modified grub4dos, install grub in the ubuntu partition, if not installed in the mbr, do not write menu.lst, can automatically load the core file grub2 into grub2. Check and reply.

If you use the official grub4dos, to create menu.lst, because grub4dos can automatically search menu.lst, to be loaded into the core core.img grub2 and profiles grub.cfg. Used in the revised annex grub4dos, have built-in load menu, you no longer need to set up menu.lst. All the best.

Eeebuntu is based on Ubuntu but is optimized for the Asus EeePC. More information about Eeebuntu can be found at the Official Eeebuntu site.you should be able to boot from your Eeebuntu Flash Drive on your Asus EeePC or any PC that supports booting from USB. Check and reply.
