So far i know Prefetch and SuperFetch are two features in windows for launching applications faster. The general idea is to anticipate the launch (using a cache mechanism) to give the user the sensation of a faster system. However, for many, these settings are the cause of hyperactivity Vista disc. Advanced users can attempt to adjust the advanced settings for Fetch to improve performance of Vista.

To enable the Superfetch feature on your system you need to follow the below mentioned instructions:
    • Go to the start Menu.
    • In the Search area type in "Services" and press and press the enter key.
    • If prompted click Continue.
    • Now move to the bottom you will find superfetch right click superfetch and then click properties.
    • Select Automatic in the start up type then apply the settings. finally click OK
    • Close the services windows

Advanced users or only administrators can attempt to change the settings and service related to the Prefetcher "SuperFetch" and whether this influences their configuration. This feature merely edit internal parameters of the system in such a way that it gives acceleration sensitive or measurable, but frequently leads to Windows or the PC inoperable.

Rather than blocking Superfetch, it is possible to better control it by editing the registry:

    1. Launch REGEDIT by typing in the start menu.
    2. Deploy the key: KEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SYSTEM \ CurrentControlSet \ Control \ Session Manager \ Memory Management \ PrefetchParameters
    3. Locate the two values EnablePrefetcher and EnableSuperfetch
    4. As standard, these two values, in Vista, are set to "3".
    5. These two values agree with other data:
      • 0 Prefetch = Disable / Disable SuperFetch
      • 1 = Prefetch active applications / applications active on SuperFetch
      • 2 = Prefetch active on the start / SuperFetch active on starting
      • 3 = Prefetch active on any / all active SuperFetch.

The above mentioned setting are very much correct but here You also can try not to keep the theoretical acceleration on startup by putting the two values "2". This setting retains the benefits of technology to boot, and avoids the hyperactivity Vista disks. I would recommend you not to Adjust the settings of SuperFetch in windows 7. Since it can be harmful in some cases.
