    Windows 7 x64 gives 9 BSODs in 3 hours

I am facing a weird problems with my desktop computer which is installed with Windows 7 x64 operating system. Sometimes the computer works properly and sometimes Windows 7 x64 gives 9 BSODs in 3 hours. This happens while opening some applications on the computer. It gives blue screen with a physical dump error. I cant figure out what is causing the system to crash and hence need your help to solve it. Any help regarding the topic is more than welcome.

The operating system on the computer is failing and due to which you are getting the BSOD frequently. The operating system of the computer have lot of files which are associated to it. If any of the file of the operating system is corrupt or missing on the system then the operating system will not work properly on the computer. The only solution to such problem is to repair or reinstall the operating system on the computer. Insert the installation disk of the operating system on the computer and boot the computer from the disk. Let the installer load and give options for installation of Windows. Select Repair or reinstall depending on your choice. Once the operating system on the computer is reinstalled, you will not face the same problem again.

Hard drive of the computer is an important peripheral of the computer. Hard drive of the computer stores the operating system of the computer. If the hard drive of the computer is faulty, then the files which are required for the operating system to work properly will not be accessed and hence the system will crash. Try running different diagnostic tools on the hard drive and check all the errors which are diagnosed by the tool. If the errors are of solvable nature then solve it otherwise you will have to replace the hard drive of the computer.

Check all the drivers which are installed on the computer. Windows 7 has lot of compatibility issues with the drivers which are available for different devices. Due to this compatibility issue, neither the device works properly in Windows 7 nor does the operating system works properly when the drivers are installed. Hence check all the drivers which are installed on the computer and see if there are any caution signs. Uninstall the currently installed drivers from the computer and check if the performance of the computer improves.

Mostly the BSOD which are encountered in the operating system are related to the physical memory of the computer. If the system is not able to access the system RAM of the computer, then the system will crash. Therefore open the computer and remove all the RAM chips from their respective slots. Clean the connecting terminals of the RAM and then replace the RAM back again. Check if the computer works properly. If there are multiple RAM chips then try booting the system using a single RAM chip at a time. If for any RAM chip, the system does not boot then discard the RAM chip as it is faulty.
