    New Toolbar grayed out

Hello there, I have a desktop computer which is installed with Windows 7 operating system. Recently I got the Quick Launch bar disabled accidently and to adjust it I am trying to add a New toolbar but the problem is the New Toolbar is grayed out and un-selectable. So if anybody knows how to solve this issue, please suggest some solution. Thanks in advance

The New task bar in Windows 7 does the same work as the Quick launch bar. Taskbar in windows 7 shows all the applications which are running on the computer from where you can select any application which is running to be maximized. Therefore there is no need for quick launch bar if there is a new task bar enabled as you can access any of the running applications which are running on the computer.

Check how many task bar have been enabled on the computer. If there are more number of task bar enabled on the computer, then there is a possibility that the task bar appears grayed out and unaccessible. So I will suggest you to check the number of task bars which are enabled on the computer. If there are lot of task bars which are enabled then disable the taskbars which are not required and then check if the task bar is unaccessible and grayed out.

Follow the steps below to disable the user prevention option and see if the task bar is accessible or not :-
    • Click on Start menu and Select Run.
    • Type gpedit.msc
    • Click on User Configuration and select Administrative templates.
    • Now click on Start menu and Taskbar.
    • Now select the setting called "Prevent users from adding or removing toolbars".
    • Check if the setting is Enabled and then select disabled or not configured.
Hopefully this will solve the problem

The problem which you are facing is due to the Policy restriction due to the domain in which the system is present. To solve the policy restriction problem on the computer, follow the steps below :-
1.Click on Start menu and select RUN
    2.Type regedit.exe and press ENTER.
    3. Find and locate the following key in the registry editor using find option.
    "HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer"
    4. Change the value for "TaskbarLockAll" registry to 0
    5.Exit the Registry Editor.
Now see if the taskbar is working properly or not.
