This is not a very critical problem. Can you tell me what does the event log says. Please specify whether you have done a clean install of windows 7 operating system or you have upgraded your windows Vista. Some times these error occurs due to improper driver installation. Please check the driver manager and then reply.

It seems that this problem occurs due to the screen saver try to change the screen saver and then check again whether this problem persists or not. If the problem still persists then try to disable the screen saver which will definitely solve this problem. Try to download and install the latest display card driver and check .

I have upgraded my operating system with from the windows Vista to windows Vista. Also i would like to tell you that i tried to change the screen saver but this could not help me to solve this problem. Also the event log does not show any such error. Thanks for the above replies but give me a different solution to this problem.

Do one thing, disable the screen saver, this may not solve the problem, but will prevent it from happening again

I think that you simply need a new user account to log in to the system and check whether the same problem appears in the new account too. Then you can log off and log into your user account. If the problem is solved then it must be due to a corrupted user profile. If all these fails then try to restore your system to some stable restore point.

You can get rid of this error by restoring your system and hence i have mentioned the steps to restore your system in windows 7 below:

    # Click the Start Button, and select run
    # Type "system restore" in the Start Search box and press Enter.
    # Check "Show more restore points", and choose a time before the issue occurs and click Next.
    # Click Finish and click Yes to confirm the operation.
