Boilsoft Video Cutter 1.01 malfunctions in Windows 7

Hi. I have a desktop machine that has been installed with Windows 7 operating system. The thing is I have recently downloaded Boilsoft Video Cutter 1.01 for editing video. This is in order to add effects as well to them but I am not able to do so as they give some or the other problem. Please help me out. The video sometimes do not even recognize.

Type msconfig, hit enter in the search box.
Now under selective startup tab choose Hide all Microsoft.
Also disable the services.
Restart the system.
