In your computer if you are using the Mac OS X in most of the application the system get hang or freeze. You will no it as you see the spinning pinwheel cursor. It will be hanged for more the a minutes. In the most of the case you can see that, but this will not affect the any of the part of the computer. The only thing it can do is it will slow the system.

You had seen in the above reply that it will only slow down the computer or your system. And try that the application which you run should become unstuck. If the system is hung for the good, then you have to wait for it or you can quit force it. This can be unsaved your application and which can be lost. And the rest of the system of your computer will continue to run.

As you see from the above two reply that it can make the computer can get slow and you can also lose some unsaved application which is running. It may be finder or any other processes. then the finder will relaunch after the force quit. If it is a classic environment then all will go away. The all the application and the unsaved data on that application. As it is designed of the older Macintosh OSs.

To enlarge the force quit window there are many way for the application of the force quit. First you have to select the force quit from the Apple menu. If you do not get this then you have to click on the other application in the menu and you will get the Apple menu which will work. Then you will see the Force Quit Applications window.

Then you can see that the application are in a red list. You can then click to the application which is not working properly then select the force quit button. This process should be rare. You can also use the force quit for the multiple applications from your window. Then you Control-click/right-click on an application's icon in the Dock.
