Is my system compatible for GTA IV?

Hello friends,
Recently I bought HP laptop, and which comprises the below configurations:

• Operating System: Windows vista
• Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo(2.20 GHz)
• Graphics card: Intel 4 Series Express Chipset
• RAM: 2 GB.

I just want to know that, Is my system which has above configuration compatible to play GTA IV? I would appreciate your any suggestions

Hi ,

I don't think that you laptop is able to play the GTA IV. The opreating system, processor and the RAM are compatible to play the GTA IV, but the unfortunately the graphics card which your laptop has is not capable to handle the GTA IV graphics. The only solution over this to upgrade graphics card of your laptop to higher. Please make this changes into the system to paly GTA IV without any interruption.

Following is the minimum configuration required to play GTA IV:

1. RAM:1.5 GB
2. Processor:AMD Athlon X2 64 2.4Ghz , Intel Core 2 Duo 1.8Ghz
3. HDD: 16 GB space required in the hard drive.
4. Operating System : Windows XP with Service Pack 3 OR Vista with Service Pack 1.
5. Graphics Card: 256MB ATI X1900 OR 256MB NVIDIA 7900.

According to me you need to add another 512MB RAM, and if you add 1GB it would be great. I have also playing GTA IV with 3GB RAM along with 512 video card. The video card of 256MB is not enough for the GTA IV graphics. So to make your laptop compatible for GTA IV please increase the RAM as well as the video card for your system.

• Video Card required: 512MB ATI 3870 OR 512MB NVIDIA 8600

I am able to pale the GTA IV over my system . I am using PC with windows XP operating system (With service pack 3). The RAM of my system is of 1.5 MB. And the graphics card is of 512 MB. Over this configuration I don't have any problem while playing the GTA IV. The system configuration of you laptop that you have provided is compatible for the GTA IV.
